Bonita Springs sits at the Lee and Collier county line, and it contains two very different building eras side by side.
Along the Imperial River and through the older sections near Old 41, you find modest older homes, some dating well back, many of them added onto over the decades. Those roofs tend to be shingle or a mix, with multiple planes and the transition details that come from decades of additions.
Then there are the gated communities built from the nineties onward on the east side and out toward Bonita Beach, which are barrel tile, larger, and built to newer standards.
